Huazhao is associated with flowers and has more than one traditional calendar date.
Source context#
The Palace Museum’s article discusses the twelfth day of the second Chinese calendar month, also noting the fifteenth. A single permanent date should not be inferred from the English label Flower Festival.
Planning and interpretation#
For a modern flower event, identify the actual organizer and programme. A traditional date does not establish flowering conditions, entry arrangements or the date of a contemporary garden display.
Scope#
Practical questions above are editorial suggestions. A cultural account does not serve as a current event invitation or prove uniform participation.
