Sanfang Qixiang is a historic urban district in central Fuzhou.
Documented place and context#
Fuzhou’s historic-city authority describes its lane pattern and Ming- and Qing-period architecture alongside conservation, repairs and new uses. Continuity of a street pattern does not date every present building or shop to the same period. A conserved residential district should not be described as a single untouched ancient structure.
Planning your visit#
Save 三坊七巷 and choose a named house, exhibition or street section. Distinguish access to a public lane from entry to an individual building. Read the venue’s current notice for any exhibition or activity. Do not assume a restored house retains its original household use or that all former residences share one admission arrangement.
Scope#
This focused introduction is not a full city itinerary or a personal visit report. Planning questions are editorial suggestions. Current prices, transport and operating arrangements require confirmation with the named institution or provider.
