Lushan National Park in Jiangxi is a World Heritage property combining landscape and cultural sites.

What the heritage record establishes#

UNESCO’s account connects the mountain landscape with Buddhist and Taoist temples and Confucian places of learning. The listed property is not simply a single viewpoint. Its cultural significance does not establish that every building seen today survives unchanged from the time of a famous writer or teacher.

Planning your visit#

Choose the places you want to understand before selecting a route. For each stop, note whether the interest is a building, an inscription, a landscape view or an institutional history. Check the current route and access notice for those specific stops. Do not assume that a photograph of cloud or waterfall conditions predicts what your visit will show.

Before making a booking#

Check current opening arrangements and admission conditions with the named site operator. The planning advice above is editorial guidance, not a report of a completed visit. No current fare, restaurant certification or guaranteed journey time is asserted.
