Qingyan Ancient Town in Guiyang’s Huaxi District received national 5A scenic-area status in 2017.

Documented place and context#

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism describes its Ming- and Qing-period military-town background and names sites including Wenchang Pavilion and the Zhao Lilun memorial arch. The classification concerns a scenic area; it does not establish that every shop, street surface or visitor facility dates to the Ming or Qing period.

Planning your visit#

Keep 青岩古镇 and 花溪 in the saved destination. Choose a particular street or historic building before checking admission. Distinguish a town walk from paid entry to individual sites. For food, ask about the actual ingredients and preparation; a local dish name is not evidence that its broth, sauce or cooking fat is vegetarian.

Scope#

This focused introduction is not a full city itinerary or a personal visit report. Planning questions are editorial suggestions. Current prices, transport and opening arrangements require confirmation with the named institution or provider.
