Shanghai’s official metro guide describes its ticketing and transport-code arrangements. It is a local example, not evidence that every Chinese metro accepts the same payment method.
Plan the journey#
Confirm the line, direction, interchange and station exit. Check the actual operating notice for the date, especially for a first or last train.
At the gate#
Follow the ticket or code’s instructions and ask station staff if entry fails. Do not assume that a merchant-payment QR code is also a transit code. This guide supplies no invented nationwide fare or timetable.
