Yin and yang are paired concepts used in Chinese accounts of relation and change.
A bounded introduction#
The metaphysical discussion links them to polarity and cycles. Associated contrasts appear in particular historical theories; they should not become a fixed classification of the personalities or worth of living people.
A way to read critically#
Ask which text or practice supplies a particular interpretation. Keep a symbolic explanation separate from an empirical claim that would require a different kind of evidence.
