A documented milestone#
CGIAR’s historical account identifies a 1973 hybrid-rice milestone and discusses the agricultural research contribution. It is not evidence that one person alone produced every later variety or yield result.
Reading the evidence#
When comparing a yield claim, record the variety, trial conditions, location, season and measurement unit. Separate an experimental plot result from an average across farms. Do not invent a global number of people fed from a biographical nickname.
