Verified vocabulary and pronunciation#
The dictionary gives 谢谢 as xie4 xie5 and includes the meanings to thank, thanks and thank you. It separately lists 感谢, gǎn xiè, as thanking or being grateful. These lexical entries describe expressions; they do not prove that gratitude follows one fixed rule in every Chinese family or friendship.
