Confirm the invitation, arrival time and the host’s preferences before a home visit.
Before arriving#
Ask whether to bring anything and mention dietary or access needs that affect the visit. Let the host know if your plans change.
On arrival#
Ask where to put shoes, bags or a gift rather than applying a supposed national rule. Ask before taking photographs. Follow the arrangements explained by your host, and thank them for the visit. These are suggestions for consideration, not measured claims about every household.
